Salsa Lessons

Learn to Salsa, get a workout and impress your friends! Icy cold margaritas, swaying coconut palms and aquamarine waters lapping white sand beaches might just make you want to break out your dancing shoes! Our sister hotel, La Zebra has opened the La Zebra Salsa School with private lessons on our beach deck. Night Life

Mezzanine: This is our sister hotel and is a great place to just hang out, gaze at the stars or stare out across the turquoise Caribbean. Mezzanine has a wonderful Thai restaurant and makes the crispest martinis along the coast. It is open daily from 8am to 11pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can call ahead and make a reservation for you.

Sundays at La Zebra: Join the Tulum crowd and feast on La Zebra's house specialties of banana leaf wrapped pit roast lamb and pulled pork tacos. Then let the sounds of our resident Salsa band wash over you and get you into the Caribbean swing of things down on the beach deck. Dinner reservations from 6pm, with the live music from 8pm to 11pm every Sunday. Ask at Reception for details and reservations.

Town: There are a number of restaurants and bars in town to try, if you can get yourself motivated to leave the beach! Ask at Reception for recommendations and reservations.

Kiteboarding Lessons

Extreme Control Kiteboarding and Paddleboarding School has been the first Professional Kite School in Tulum operating since 2004 and offering top quality service to students from all over the globe. Their main school is located at Playa Paraiso where you will find the flattest waters in Tulum and open stretches of white beaches. The side onshore winds and warm Caribbean create an ideal environment to learn or improve your kiteboarding skills.

Their team of instructors are expert kiteboarders, IKO Certified and multilingual with over 5 years experience teaching and riding. They use a unique teaching method concentrating on safety and kite control so that you have a solid and safe foundation as you continue through the sport of kiteboarding. They teach kite control using short lines with minimum power concentrating on teaching all the tools needed to become an independent kiter such as kite control ,water re-launch, and self- rescue. The goal is to create responsible kiters so everyone can continue to enjoy this sport throughout the world.

Fishing

Delve into Tulum's mystical culture with a visit to the area's cenotes, local fresh water sink holes once used for ceremonial rites. Experience the most blissful way to see the beauty and widlife of the Sian Ka'an biosphere, right on our doortstep with a serene lagoon kayaking tour. History buffs journey to the heart of the Mayan kingdom at the ruins of Chichen Itza and Coba. Or stick close to home and explore the beachfront ruins of Tulum just a short ride away from Pez.
